Murton House is a recently converted self-catering holiday cottage situated in the peaceful village of Murton, four miles from Appleby in Westmorland in the beautiful Eden Valley.
With stunning views towards Murton Pike and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and being such a peaceful location, this is a wonderful place to spend some time "away from it all".
The market town of Appleby, famous for its castle and annual horse fair, together with its cafes, shops and restaurants, is only a short drive away. We're also ideally placed for exploring the Lake District being only 30 minutes from the National Park. Teesdale, with High Force and Cow Green Reservoir, are within easy reach, as is the historic border city of Carlisle.
There are some stunning walks right on our doorstep with the renowned High Cup Nick and Pennine Way nearby.
The cottage itself retains many of the building's original features with exposed beams and large barn door window, allowing in lots of light to make this a bright and airy place. A cosy wood burning stove and underfloor heating keep the cottage warm and toasty in cooler months.
Murton House is ideal for couples or small families as the cottage is suitable for up to four guests.
A warm welcome awaits all our guests! |
